Intermediate/Advanced

  Lyrical is offered for students 6th-12th grade. This style of dance is focused on self expression through contemporary movement. Students often enjoy Lyrical because it brings a modern touch to dance while utilizing their foundation of dance technique. Each class begins with a warm-up where we bring much focus to flexibility, strength and balance. Students then flow across the floor to the center of the room where they explore technique, improvisation  and choreography. This type of dance truly encourages students to express themselves artistically through dance and manifests interesting ways to move the body. Though admittance is not required, prior and current dance experience is needed.
